SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm "MARING" was estimated based on all available data at 145 km West Southwest of Calayan, Cagayan (19.0°N, 120.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 100 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 125 km/h. It is moving Westward at 20 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon and the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
